Aether Series
These illustrations are guided by the concept of æther which offers a common ground between logic and the imagination. It was used by ancient Greek philosophers, medieval scientists, and modern physicists to explain the middle spaces between things: spirit, air, light, and dark matter.
With this idea as a guide for my illustrations, I gather public domain images and create collages from ink-jet printouts that I felt captured a tension between science and fantasy.
